There are no particular Church requirements (e.g. attendance) before we agree to conduct your marriage service. If you have been Baptised (Christened) bring the certificate if you have it. If you are a member of a UK congregation please mention it to the Wedding Chaplain (Priest) who is to perform your ceremony during your pre-wedding interview.
If you have not been baptised/christened or do not regularly attend a church, you can still be married by one of our Wedding Chaplains (Priests) at the location of your choice. Our wish is simply, that you should be comfortable with the Christian faith – especially as it is expressed in the Anglican marriage service.
A Wedding Application Form will be sent to you electronically when you book your wedding with us. Please complete and return to us.
A legal marriage requires two witnesses (over 18 years old) - you will need to supply the names of your chosen witnesses and photocopies of their passports prior to the ceremony.
You will meet and chat with your Wedding Chaplain (Priest) prior to your wedding and also with your wedding vergers. This is in addition to discussions with any other wedding consultants you may have employed.
There is NO need to have Banns called in the UK before you leave for Cyprus. The Form B obtained from a Paphos Town Hall (see legal requirements ) substitutes for the Calling of Banns.
