Your Wedding with the Anglican Church in Paphos

A selection of hymn choices are available so please apply direct to the Wedding Co-ordinator and she will send you the choices in a PDF file a for you to choose from.   Although a hymn (or hymns) can add meaningfully to a wedding ceremony, it is not compulsory and some couples prefer to omit this part of the service.

A Choir – Ayia Kyriaki only

A small Choir is available, on request, for a limited number of weddings. There will be an extra charge of €175 payable for this service. The choir has a range of 4 part anthems suitable for the occasion which can be sung as the bride enters, completes the signing of the certificates, or leaves the Church. A Soloist can also be provided to sing during the signing of the Marriage Certificates (price on application).  Anthems available to be sung by the choir include:

Music for your Wedding Day

Some suggestions for wedding music and hymns are included below.

We welcome classical duos/quartets to accompany at weddings, but please contact the Wedding Coordinator before booking.

Unfortunately the Orthodox Church does not permit CD music to be played in Ayia Kyriaki as part of the ceremony.  Only live music is now accepted.

CD music, only, is now played in St. George’s Chapel and at all other wedding venues in the district of Paphos.  If couples have a number of favourite pieces they wish to have played at their wedding ceremony, then please bring your CD with you to your Church Meeting with the Priest and Wedding Verger.   When choosing your CD music, please take into consideration that your music choices must be suitable for a religious ceremony.

To discuss your music choices in detail, please contact the Wedding Coordinator.
